Decided I needed another set for a TV in my office, so I got the newer version MDRRF985RK and they are perfect. I have difficulty hearing the TV and it is not the volume, but the clarity of the dialog. These wireless headphones are perfect. They block out other noise and make watching TV a pleasure again. I can go into another room and still hear the TV clearly. The set up is very simple. I have recommended these headphones to many of my friends who want to control the volume at which they listen to TV while others watching can tune the TV to a volume that is comfortable for them. I have never had a problem with static. It is great that the battery recharges as it sets in the transmitter cradle.
